Arts Coritani
We feel privileged to live in a village with such a fantastic gallery and talented artists. Rosi and Colan are great people and would be delighted to see you. If you are around on a Thursday Afternoon, there are always people there having a cup of tea and a chat for a small donation that in the past, has gone into the pot to pay for the Punch and Judy at the Church Garden Fete. Arts Coritani website will give you some insight into what goes on and tell you dates for the latest exhibition.
St Mary’s Church
is a beautiful 14th Century Church In the centre of the village, facing the Market Place. The new Priest in Charge was licensed in a lovely service in January and there are regular services. The Church Wardens have been, and are continuing to, do a fantastic job in promoting the church and leading a dedicated group of supporters in raising money towards the extensive repairs that are needed. There is more information about this on the church website and the Parish Council website (this also includes information about the many groups and organisations that operate in Swineshead.

There are 2 pubs in Swineshead, both in the Market Square near the village store:
The Wheatsheaf
is over 300 years old and is a beautiful imposing building looking out onto the Market Square. Their website will tell you all you need to know:
The Pig and Whistle
Newly refurbished and opened early in 2011. It too, is an integral part of the history of Swineshead.
Abbey Parks Farm Shop
This is where we buy almost all of our fruit, veg and cheese, much of it locally produced. In the area Abbey Parks is probably most well known for its asparagus, which supplies Fortnum and Masons as well as some well known London restaurants such as The Ivy and Quaglino’s (don’t worry – you won’t need to pay London prices!). There is a fantastic coffee shop and restaurant, a warm welcome with a log burning stove in Winter and a very friendly staff – we love going there for the all-day breakfast or a cup of coffee and a cake (it’s always nice to eat someone else’s cooking). Watch out for the themed dinner evenings, usually once a month and be sure to book in advance for these as they are very popular. If you need catering for a function, we would recommend them. Ring and speak to Ros or Sophie.
i-grow at Abbey Parks Gardens
This is a fantastic idea for those who love fresh produce and flowers, would like to grow your own but simply do not have the time or space. And it is all happening here in Lincolnshire! We will certainly be subscribing and buying some as a great gift. The website is well worth a look: http://www.abbeyparks.co.uk/allotments/index.html
Pete Norton Photography
Grateful thanks to pete for helping with some of the photos that we have used for the website. I hadn’t realised how dificult it is to take photos of rooms. The wide-angled lens made a big difference. Many thanks.

Clipz Hair Design
In the centre of the village, maxine and her team offer a fantastic service, brilliant prices and are always looking for ways to grow and develop. My Mum loves them. A website is on its way and we are looking forward to working with the team more closely.
